Take Control of Your Workout: New iFIT Updates You’ll Notice Right Away

Release Date: Apr 2, 2026

Your workouts just got more flexible, more intuitive, and easier to control.

With the latest iFIT update rolling out starting April 2, you’ll see some of the most requested improvements yet, especially if you’ve ever wanted more control over your workout experience.

From long-awaited video controls to new entertainment options like YouTube TV and iHeartRadio, this update is all about helping you train your way.

Finally: Full Control Over Your Workout Videos

If you’ve ever wanted to replay a coaching cue, skip ahead, or take control of your pacing mid-workout, you’ll feel this upgrade immediately.

A runner navigates a scenic outdoor iFIT workout using the new on-screen controls, including pause, skip, and timeline scrubbing for full video-on-demand control.

New video-on-demand playback controls give you the ability to:

  • Skip forward or backward in 15-second intervals

  • Tap multiple times to jump further ahead or back

  • Use a timeline scrubber to move anywhere in the workout

  • Pause and resume with a centralized control overlay

The updated pause screen displays remaining workout time with easy-to-use resume and skip controls, giving users more flexibility during training.

Even better, your stats adjust with you. Time, distance, and progress all update in real time as you move through the workout.

This means your workout can finally match your real life. Need to repeat a segment? Go for it. Want to skip ahead to the next interval? You’re in control.

And when you’re ready to re-sync with your trainer, just tap Follow Trainer to bring back automatic adjustments.

iHeartRadio, Ready to Go

Your machine just became more versatile beyond workouts.

iHeartRadio is now automatically downloaded directly on your iFIT-enabled equipment screen, giving you instant access to music, stations, and playlists without the extra step of downloading it from the app list.

Whether you prefer music, talk, or curated stations, it’s a simple way to stay engaged and keep your momentum going.

YouTube TV on Your Machine

You can now access YouTube TV directly from your iFIT-enabled equipment screen, making it easier to stream live TV while you move.

Currently available for our members in the United States, it's all right there when you want it, whether it's a game, a show, or entertainment for a longer session.

A Smarter, Simpler Audio Experience

Audio is one of those things you don’t think about until it gets in the way.

That’s why this update simplifies everything.

Instead of juggling multiple confusing controls, you now have:

  • Media Volume (music, apps, and workout video audio)

  • Trainer Volume (your coach’s voice)

The redesigned audio settings panel shows separate media and trainer volume sliders, making it easier to balance music and coaching during workouts.

To reduce visual clutter, the master volume has been relocated to the support interface. It’s cleaner, faster, and easier to adjust mid-workout.

There are also smarter touches behind the scenes:

  • Volume buttons automatically adjust what you’re actively using

  • Headphones reconnect seamlessly with your previous settings

  • Quick jump points (25%, 50%, 75%) make dialing in your sound effortless

The goal is simple: fewer distractions, more focus.

A More Streamlined iFIT Experience

This update also brings a more consistent experience across the platform.

Map Workouts, Now Aligned with Pro Features

Map-based workouts remain available, with creation tools now part of the Pro experience.

You can still:

  • Access and run your existing routes

  • Preview and explore new routes

And if you’re ready to unlock full customization, Pro gives you the complete map-building experience.

One Unified iFIT Experience

As iFIT continues to evolve, users on the latest iFIT 2.0 experience will not have the option to go back to older versions.

This allows for:

  • Faster feature development

  • More consistent performance

  • A more unified training experience across devices

What This Update Really Means for Your Training

These feature updates are here to help make your workout experience better than ever. You now have:

  • More control over how you move through workouts

  • More flexibility to adapt sessions to your schedule

  • More entertainment options to stay engaged longer

  • Less friction in the moments that used to interrupt your flow

And that’s what keeps you coming back. The best workout experience is structured, but built to adapt to you.

Rolling Out Now

This update begins rolling out April 2 and will gradually reach all users.

If you haven't seen it yet, it’s on the way.
