What better way to get your mind and body in shape for summer than racing in a 5K along a beautiful beach in South Carolina? At iFit, we are bringing this experience to you in the comfort of your home. Get ready to race with iFit Trainer Matt Pauson in Myrtle Beach during this upcoming LIVE 5K race!
Whether this is your first 5K or 100th, you will be guided by Matt throughout the entire journey. Keep up the pace as you run or walk through this energetic city that offers views of exciting carnivals, bright buildings, and peaceful shores. You'll experience all that Myrtle Beach has to offer while putting in the work!
Here is everything you need to know about the Live Myrtle Beach 5K Race running workout.
How it works
On May 1, 2021 at 7:40 a.m., ET, meet iFit Trainer Matt Paulson on your iFit-enabled treadmill or elliptical. You can also join the race on your tablet or smartphone with the iFit app. Here is more information on how to get ready to run or walk 3.1 miles with Matt:
- The race starts at 7:40 a.m., ET on May 1, 2021.
- Join the race as early as 10 minutes prior to ask Matt any questions you may have about the race, such as what type of landscapes you’ll be running or walking through, how difficult the route may be, and how to keep yourself motivated.
- Send in any questions or comments you may have prior to the start of the race, and Matt may answer them for you as you are moving through Myrtle Beach!
Throughout the race, Matt will motivate you to push yourself all the way to the finish line. Best of all, if you complete the race as it is being streamed live, then you will receive an exclusive iFit medal in the mail!
If you are unable to attend the live race, then you can access it at any time afterward in the iFit Library.
Joining the race
To join the race, log onto your iFit-enabled treadmill or elliptical, or the iFit app if you are outdoors or away from your equipment. You can begin streaming the race as early as 10 minutes prior to the 7:40 a.m., ET start time, so you can add any questions or comments you may have for Matt about the race.
Training for the Myrtle Beach 5K
Are you wondering how you can prepare yourself mentally and physically for the race? Whether you are a beginner runner or walker, or consider yourself an expert, you can prepare for this 3.1-mile run or walk by joining the April Challenge!
The April Challenge is all about accommodating your unique lifestyle, and enabling you to choose workouts from the iFit Library that best suit your personal goals.
